Here are some images from the 1s game vs Livingston 1st XI played at home in Craiglockhart. For the second week running, we got more than half-way through a game before the rain dispatched any hope of a result, and we were left holding a red bar of soap! .
We got off to a very good start, winning the toss and batting steadily on an excellent track. We made a total of 283/9 in our 50 overs. Shaun and Manju scored 62; Shaun steadying the innings and Manju setting it on fire. Rehan demonstrated that he enjoyed batting too, making 43 and putting on 94 runs with Shaun.
Livingston got off to a brisk start, but, after playing for over 30 minutes in the rain, we came off with the total on 116/3 after 21 overs, and the match set up for a good finish which never came about. N. Ashgar, the 16-year all-rounder for Livingston made a stylish 53 not out, and had earlier taken 2 wickets.
Another disappointing end to a promising game played in good spirits.

Shaun steadied the innings with a composed 62. The 3rd wicket parnership, worth 94,
was complimented by Rehan's attacking 43. Both innings ended with a full-toss landing in the hands of
deep mid-wicket.
Manju scored 62 at better than a run a ball, with some huge shots over the boundary.
